A Moms on Holiday Spring Break Mocktail

Cheers to all of us moms who really deserve a spring break! Let’s ban together and take one even if it’s just for a day…or even a few hours.

Imagine laying by the pool with a good book or juicy magazine (guilty pleasure), tanning and kid free. All you need is something to sip on. And in the spirit of healthy escapes why not try one of our Moms on Holiday mocktails. For this refreshing drink we used grapefruit as the main ingredient since it’s in season and extra delicious. Here’s the deets.

Step 1: Get a cute glass

Step 2: Drop in a few ice cubes

Step 3: Pour still or sparkling water into a shaker (I prefer sparkling)

Step 4: Squeeze at least one whole grapefruit into the shaker

Step 5: Add in a spoonful of maple syrup (the more natural the better)

Step 6: Shake that thang!

Step 7: Pour Mocktail into your glass with ice and add rosemary garnish

Step 8: Make it fancy with an umbrella. We are on spring break after all.

Grapefruit: A fruit filled with so many nutrients including Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Potassium, Magnesium and so many more goodies. It’s known to improve your immune system and we could all use a strong immune system, especially with littles always bringing in all kinds of germs.

Maple Syrup: An impressive amount of protective antioxidants can be found in maple syrup and has a high amount of one of our favorite nutrients, zinc. Zinc can help fight illness and improve immunity. Just remember a little goes a long way when you’re adding maple syrup.

In conclusion this mocktail is tasty and will support your immune system to keep you healthy for more sunny pool days!
